Media Travel Recap connects to your Immich photos or Google Photos to gather all photos and videos from the specified year and use the location and time metadata of the media to generate a "Travel Recap" based on where you've been that year. Firstly, the user chooses the year that they want to see their recap for. Distances between each consecutive photo in the user's photos are compared and it is determined whether or not they traveled somewhere since the last photo that was taken. If it determines you traveled somewhere new, it creates a new location in the list of destinations. An animated map is generated, showing a visual of everywhere you have been. Additionally, statistics are compiled, such as how many unique cities or states you have visited.
